New Christmas Kit, Freebie and Update

I have had so many well wishes for my son that I wanted to give an update. We saw the surgeon on Wed and the bone has moved away from his wrist AGAIN. The Dr. is extremely concerned but fears he shouldn't do anything right now. He had to go through the growth plate to put the pins in the hold the wrist to the arm. If he goes in again it will destroy the growth plate. If the growth plate is destroyed then he will have one arm noticably longer than the other. If we go back this Wed and the arm has moved away again then he will have an extremly deformed wrist and have no use of the hand. So of course if it has moved again we will operate again. Hoping it will work this time. He is going to try to return to school tomorrow after being out for two weeks. I am so worried somone will bump that arm as it is still super sensitive and of course he is still on extremely strong pain meds. guess there is nothing you can do one way or the other. I just don't understand as tightly as his arm is casted how that bone keeps moving. It is so hard watching your child be in so much pain. He is unable to do anything for himself which can be so frustrating for him. At least if it had been the other arm he would still feel as tho he had some sort of control. I will keep you updated.
