I have been fairly busy and I have so much to share. First I would like to thank the wonderful designers that have honored me with some great awards...

This is a picture of my 15 y/o the day he came home from his first surgery rebuilding his arm, wrist and hand after crushing them in a soccer game. Can you tell he was in lots of pain and totally ticked that I snapped a pic of him...Uhhh...teenagers....lol

He is now in physical and occupational therapy as he has no use of his arm at all. New Christmas Kit, Freebie and Update

I have had so many well wishes for my son that I wanted to give an update. We saw the surgeon on Wed and the bone has moved away from his wrist AGAIN. The Dr. is extremely concerned but fears he shouldn't do anything right now. He had to go through the growth plate to put the pins in the hold the wrist to the arm. If he goes in again it will destroy the growth plate. If the growth plate is destroyed then he will have one arm noticably longer than the other. If we go back this Wed and the arm has moved away again then he will have an extremly deformed wrist and have no use of the hand. So of course if it has moved again we will operate again. Hoping it will work this time. He is going to try to return to school tomorrow after being out for two weeks. I am so worried somone will bump that arm as it is still super sensitive and of course he is still on extremely strong pain meds. guess there is nothing you can do one way or the other. I just don't understand as tightly as his arm is casted how that bone keeps moving. It is so hard watching your child be in so much pain. He is unable to do anything for himself which can be so frustrating for him. At least if it had been the other arm he would still feel as tho he had some sort of control. I will keep you updated.

Catching Up

I am SO behind with trying to make sure Codie has everything he needs, you know teenagers they can do everything themselves. They went in on Friday and put in several pins to hold his arm to his wrist and rebuilt half his hand. We are hoping to get the other half of his hand rebuilt this coming week. Poor kid, so much to be going through at 15. He has been a real trooper trying to hold it together. I am so proud of him. Being in and out of the hospital and operating rooms all week has taken a toll on not only Codie and I but my other 3 children as well. It will be nice when everything returns to normal but it seems that he has a really long road of recovery ahead of him. He is not allowed to return to school until further notice so as you can imagine, he is bored out of his mind.

Starting tomorrow there is going to be a huge sale at Aussie Scraps Designs. We well be putting all of our kits on sale for $2.00. That's right it doesn't matter how large the kit is all designers will be putting their kits on sale for $2.00! The sale will run until Sunday the 16th. FYI

I wanted to take a minute to let you all know that I will be away from the computer for a while. My son will be having his second surgery tomorrow on his wrist. He really did a number on it. We are not sure what the outcome will be at this point but being in and out of the hospital and dr. offices makes it really hard to even get close to the computer. He is on pretty strong pain meds and I feel like I need to be close to him so if he needs anything I am there for him. I will be back and hope to be able to make a post this weekend at some point probably on Sunday. Please keep my son in your thoughts, I know he is almost 16 but he is in a great deal of pain right now. I don't know if I could deal with it as well as he has. His arm to his wrist are completely deformed, he has a lot of surgery ahead of him. Please be patient with me. I hope to be back full time soon.

I am so sorry that I couldn't get this posted sooner. One of my children was injured playing soccer and it required surgery. I have been in the hospital with him and this is the first oportunity I have had to post.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! We spent the weekend on the soccer field in the RAIN...That was tons of fun. LoL. I hope we don't get sick especially with our weather here being so crazy. It was so chilly all week that we needed jackets and then today it was close to 80.
